Naturopathy

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a complimentary, holistic system of healthcare that supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance. It combines traditional healing principles with modern clinical science to address the underlying causes of health concerns rather than focusing only on symptoms. Naturopathic care considers the whole person approach physical, mental, emotional, and environmental, to create long-term, sustainable improvements in wellbeing.

Naturopaths use a combination of clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, lifestyle interventions, and mind-body practices to help regulate body systems, reduce inflammation, support elimination pathways, and improve resilience to stress. Treatment plans are personalised and evidence-informed, tailored to each client’s unique health history, current symptoms, and goals.

Naturopathy is ideal for people wanting to understand their health more deeply, address the root causes of their concerns, and create long-term sustainable shifts toward vitality and resilience.

No referral is needed to see our naturopath.

Treatment may include:

• Clinical nutrition and therapeutic diets

• Herbal medicine formulations

• Lifestyle and stress-modulation strategies

• Mind-body and nervous system regulation practices

• Nutritional supplementation

• Detoxification and liver support

• Functional testing interpretation (where relevant)

Acute Consultations

Acute consultations 30 minutes.

Short, targeted sessions designed to provide immediate support when you or your child is unwell. These 30-minute appointments focus on rapid relief, stabilisation, and practical home care strategies for common short-term illnesses.

Acute consultations are ideal for:

• Viral infections (colds, flu, respiratory viruses)

• Gastrointestinal upsets (nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, gastro bugs)

• Sudden rashes or skin irritations

• Histamine flares or allergic reactions

• Immune support during seasonal illnesses

• Sick children needing gentle, natural car

During the session, your naturopath will assess your symptoms, identify likely contributing factors, and recommend an evidence-informed plan that may include herbal remedies, nutritional support, acute supplementation, hydration strategies, and practical home care measures. The aim is to help you recover more comfortably, reduce symptom severity, and support your body’s natural healing processes.

Acute consultations do not replace medical care in emergencies, but offer a safe, natural complement for everyday illnesses that benefit from timely, focused support.

What is Clinical Nutrition?

Clinical Nutrition focuses on how food, nutrients, and lifestyle patterns influence health, energy, and disease processes. It uses evidence-based dietary strategies to correct nutrient deficiencies, optimise digestion, regulate metabolism, and improve overall function of the body’s systems.

A Clinical Nutritionist assesses diet, symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors to create personalised nutrition plans that support healing and long-term wellbeing. What to expect from an appointment

Initial Consultation 75 minutes

The initial appointment is a comprehensive assessment that explores your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, nutrition, and wellbeing goals. This session allows your practitioner to identify underlying patterns, contributing factors, and imbalances across body systems. Functional testing may be discussed if clinically relevant.

You will receive a personalised treatment plan that may include nutrition strategies, herbal medicine, lifestyle recommendations, and supportive therapies tailored to your needs. The plan is designed to be practical, achievable, and grounded in evidence-informed practice.

 Follow-Up Consultations 45 minutes

Follow-up sessions monitor your progress, adjust treatment strategies, and deepen support as your health evolves. These appointments help refine your nutrition and lifestyle plan, review test results, and ensure your treatment remains aligned with your goals.

Follow-ups are an important part of achieving long-term improvements, allowing space to integrate new habits, track changes, and provide ongoing guidance and education.
